Remote Video Monitoring for Car Washes

It's 1:40 a.m. Your wash closed hours ago, the lights over the bays are still on, and someone's working a pry bar on the pay station. Your cameras record all of it. But if nobody's watching live, you won't find out until the morning crew calls you, and by then the coin box is empty and the kiosk screen is cracked.
That's the gap remote video monitoring fills. Our own trained staff watch your camera views from our monitoring facility, 24/7 or on whatever schedule fits your wash. When something looks wrong, we act on it while it's still happening.
What we watch for at a car wash
Car washes have their own trouble spots, and they're mostly the same from site to site. We set up our checks around the places you'd walk yourself if you could:
- Pay stations and kiosks. Pry marks, someone lingering at the bill acceptor, a vehicle backed up to the kiosk after close.
- Coin and cash boxes. Activity around the bay meters and vacuum coin boxes when there's no one on site.
- Self-serve bays after hours. Loitering, people dumping trash, kids tagging the walls, a car parked in a bay for an hour with nobody washing it.
- Vacuums. Hoses cut, canisters forced open, people running vacuums they didn't pay for.
- The tunnel. A line that's stopped moving, a car sitting at the exit, a conveyor that's quit with no attendant nearby.
How we handle an incident, step by step
Every site gets a response plan we agree on with you before monitoring starts. Here's how it usually plays out:
- We see it. A video alert comes in, or our operator spots it during a scheduled virtual guard tour.
- We check it. Is that a customer finishing a late wash or someone testing the kiosk door? We look before we call anyone.
- We speak up. If your site has two-way audio, we can give a verbal warning over the speaker. Sometimes a voice telling someone they're on camera is enough.
- We call your people. We contact your designated contacts in the order you've set, and we stick to the plan you've signed off on.
- We write it down. You get an incident report with the time, location and what happened, plus clips or snapshots where they're available.
Pay stations, bays and the tunnel
Most operators don't need every camera watched every minute. You'll get more out of live monitoring on the few views that matter: the pay lanes, the kiosks, the bay entrances and the tunnel exit. We watch those closely and leave the rest recording.
Video helps with the daytime headaches too. When a customer says "your wash scratched my car," clips can show what the car looked like going in and coming out. When someone pulls into a self-serve bay and washes without paying, you'll have the footage. Adding license plate recognition at the entrance or pay lanes gives you plate reads to go with it.
Already have cameras? We work with many existing systems, and we'll check compatibility first. If you've got blind spots, or you're in the Houston area and want new cameras, our CCTV installation team can add them.
One wash or a chain
If you run several locations, you can't be at all of them at closing time. We can monitor one wash or many, on the same schedule or different ones. Maybe your express tunnel only needs overnight coverage, while your self-serve site needs eyes on it during late hours when the bays stay open and nobody's on staff.
We'll also keep staff arrival and departure records, so you know whether your morning crew opened on time and whether the last person out actually locked up. That's one less thing to check from your phone at 10 p.m.
We've been in business for over a decade, and we monitor businesses across the USA from our base in Houston. There's more on our car wash security page.
Get a free assessment for your wash
We don't publish prices, because every wash is different: number of cameras, hours of coverage, how many sites. You'll get a custom quote after we look at your setup. If you'd like a sense of what drives the number, our guide to remote video monitoring cost walks through it. When you're ready, book a free assessment and we'll go over your cameras, your trouble spots and the hours you want covered.
